Attitude of Worship

Ephesians 3:20-21
Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen.

The same yesterday, today and forever

After delivering the Sermon on the mount, Jesus began his teaching by reciting the Lord’s prayer. He gives us this model prayer first for good reason; that we have a proper attitude of worship; He taught us that faith and trust in God rests in how we are to approach the throne of grace where the Father is seated. We profess to worship this sovereign, omnipotent and immoveable God, yet we don’t confess him in our hearts because we don’t worship him in His wholeness-We don’t see Him as the creator of all things, as the God who is outside all space and time because we can’t see Him in His majesty:
Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name PSALM103; We don’t just approach Him for our benefits, but we praise Him for His greatness, we thank Him for all things, we thank Him for the mercy and grace, we praise His name for the healing and restoration and above all for His reconciliation through His imputed righteousness.
Matthew 6:9 says, if we have faith, our supplication should never the thrust of our worship, yes, we should make them known, but we should be thanking Him in advance for that thing He is about to do in our life. 2 Corinthians 13 tells us to worship Him in His wholeness, worship Him as the God-head, our Triune God, God the Son, through whom we have grace, worship Him as God the Father through whom we have love and God the Holy Spirit through whom we have fellowship with Him-Worship Him in His greatness (Romans 11:36), (Ephesians 3:20-21).
We must be authentic in our worship; Come before Him with the deepest sense of reverence for His name, we should drop to our knees and fall prostrate before Him in full surrender to His sovereignty. Praise Him for the obedience of His Son Jesus Christ that now we have salvation in Him. Glorify Him as the author and finisher of our faith, that through Him alone come our provisions. Have faith and thank Him in advance for what His mighty hand is about to do in our life. May you be blessed beyond measure and with the fullness of God. Aloha, God bless.
