Do you know my Jesus?

MATTHEW 3.16-17 After Jesus was baptized, He went up immediately from the water. The heavens suddenly opened for Him and He saw the spirit of God descending like a dove and coming down to Him. 17 And the came a voice from heaven:
This is My beloved Son
I take delight in Him (HCSB)

WHAT CHILD IS THIS?

He is,

God Incarnate, The Promised Messiah; MATTHEW 1:21 She will give birth to a son, and you shall call Him Jesus because He will save His people from their sins.

Who was,

Confirmed by angels; (Matthew1:20) 20 But after he had considered these things, an angel of the Lord suddenly appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because what has been conceived in her is by the Holy Spirit. We question circumstances in our lives, whether God is allowing things to take place because of a bigger blessing that’s coming down the pikes, or if God is trying to teach us a lesson of some sort? Whatever the case, Our faith is always being stretched. I submit that as many times as I have tried, I can’t wrap my head around who He is, and the significance of His ministry. The Son of God, whose coming was preordained by God Himself, and confirmed by angels. Wow, this Is a big deal!
He is Prophecy Fulfilled!:

In order to validate God’s power, and sovereignty, Jesus’ ministry had to come full circle. (1John 2:1) My little children, I am writing to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father-Jesus Christ the Righteous One.

So I ask myself, How do I recognize the presence of God at work in me?
He is present when I am uncertain, when things seem bleak. Then my situation becomes crystal clear when I step out in faith and relinquish all control to the Holy Spirit. When I am afraid, His presence is felt in His calming spirit, accompanied by a resounding “I got you”

My prayer and my hope for the upcoming year is for a serious spiritual revival and growth; growth that will unleash all the goodness and grace of the Lord on and in me. I pray for the Lord to be with me in every baby step I take toward my emancipation. Aloha and God BlessRevivalG+

UNTETHERED,Purposely moving away

photo (4)If the Holy Spirit never leaves, why do we go looking for it? G. Cooke

What if Its We who acquiesce, We who move away from sovereignty of the Holy Spirit of the Lord;
I need my “Quiet time”- I need my space.
I’m not really the type into celebrating…You probably own a few of these

Seriously, WHY DO WE?
Empathy- We turn our focus inward and on to our disposition;
Lord, I’m avoiding You, because I’ve need to wallow in my sorrow.
Unworthiness-We’re so focused on ourselves, that we actually convince ourselves of our helplessness; Lord, I’m not so sure that I’m perfect in Your eyes. You probably have a few of these of your own..

Just as sure as the holiday season arrives each year, satan is sure to loose his arrows of ugly emotion on us. And in our vulnerability, we fall victim to these feelings of Self condemnation, Of rejection, and finally give way to hopelessness-This is My Achilles tendon..,

I must make provisions to thwart off these destructive arrows! I’ve identified these areas of struggle, and plan accordingly to respond counter-intuitively against these threats. I’d have to redirect my in-ward focus (on me); For we were called to be free, brothers(and sisters), only don’t use this freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but serve one another through love (Galatians 5:13)

I must remain in fellowship with others, so that I can remain in communion with the Holy Spirit. God knows I don’t fare very well being alone; Where two or more are gathered in His name, He is there (Matthew 18:30) He is right there watching over me! All the while, emptying myself of me, to be filled to over-flowing with His Spirit, that I may pour it out on others. Let me add this caveat; We Are expected to do the leg work, and the Lord will bless the efforts. By this process, I am able to see the world through the lens of the Lord, while living out the greatest commandment; “I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I loved you, you must also love one another (John13:34) Wishing you and your’s a Merry Christmas!
Aloha and God bless

Aligning our hearts with the will of God

(2 Timothy 4:7) I have fought the good fight, I gave finished the race, I have kept the faith

Psalm 20:4 May He give you ¬†your heart’s desires
and fulfill your whole purpose (HCSB)
We might think we are exactly where we ought to be in terms of serving the Lord, more specifically, serving the needs of the body. Sure we are all given certain gifts that point us in the direction of, and make us equal to the task of edifying the body as a whole.

What if this gift we are blessed with is a stepping stone to our next assignment, a means of being used in a greater capacity? Could it be possible for our spiritual growth to be stifled by our own arrogance?

Ephesians 1:18 I pray that the perception of your mind may be enlightened so that you may know what is the hope of His inheritance among the saints,

If we are being honest, we would respond to the nudging of the spirit, that ever so gentle tension between our heart and spirit. I submit that I’ve had this nudging for a while now, and the tension intensifies the harder I try to make this square peg fit in a round hole.

The Lord has brought me to it, and I need to trust He will bring me through it-I presently stand at the threshold of taking on my next task, my emancipation!
If you are in the process of self examination, I pray that you would move according to these promptings, and convictions of the spirit.

I ask for your prayers for courage, that my feet will remain firm on the path He has cut out for me. I ask that you would pray for my protection. God bless

All he had was his faith..

2015 - 1

The same yesterday, today and forever

For this man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being also fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught the things about Jesus accurately, although he only knew John’s baptism Acts 18:25

When they (Paul, Priscilla, and Aquila) arrived in Caesarea, they met native Alexandrian named Apollos, he only knew of Jesus, and Christianity, though he was educated in the use of the scriptures, and spoke them with the authority of God. It is unclear if he ever was baptized, but he was already filled with the Holy spirit as confirmed by the way he spoke out against the blasphemy and idol worship of the Jews in the synagogues.
(1Corinthians 1:12) What I am saying is this: Each of you says, “I’m with Paul,or, “I’m with Apollos, or “I’m with Cephas, or, I’with Christ,
Apollos already had the respect and recognition as being a man of God, a servant dispatched by God Himself for the sake of the Gospel.
So when Priscilla an Aquila heard him, they became concerned with his limited knowledge (Of Christ), and took him under their wings and explained the way of the Lord more accurately. 15 What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? They are servants, through whom you believed, and each has the role the Lord has given (1Corinthians 3:5)
Our testimonies are powerful, We will grow in the knowledge of Him; 12 Not that I have already reached the goal or am fully mature, but I make every effort to take hold of it because I also have been taken hold of by Christ (Philippians 3:12)
Be blessed

More than enough

Change my heart, O God
PSALM 119:11
I have treasured your word in heart
so that I may not sin against You (HCSB)

Consider this;

There is a constant tension between our faith in Christ, and the allure of the world. and ever present before us is the choice to remain steadfast (in our walk), or to default to own devices. Therefore, our spiritual maturity must be tested and tempered so that we might not be lacking.

In our Humanness, we do not deal with our emptiness very well, by nature, we are affectionate creatures who are in need of constant validation. So, we tend to fill the void with stuff, our stuff. Consequently, to keep the void filled, we need to keep filling it with more stuff. And this is where we get in trouble.

Taste and see the Lord is good!(Psalm 34:8)

Fortunately, we serve a Big God who only does big things. He does not give just enough, No, we are filled to over flowing, Amen?! When we drink of the living water we would never thirst again-We have no need to go looking for stuff to fill the emptiness within,

10 Jesus answered, “If you knew the gift of God, who is saying to you,’Give me a drink,” you would ask Him and He will give you living water(John 29:10)

“I have treasured your word in my heart” [119:11b], I believe without question your word is more than enough.

Aloha and God bless

PSALM 34:8 Taste and see the Lord is good. Blessed is the man who takes confidence in Him

For the sake of the season

My testimonyphoto (4)

(1John 4:4) You are from God,little children, and you have conquered them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world, and the world listens to them (HCSB)
So, Here we are on the home stretch to Christmas, with the New year taking a turn-certainly, an exciting time of the year! The reality for many is to survive the most difficult of days, a time when feelings of hurt, loss, indignation, and loneliness, is magnified, It was for me. I dreaded and struggled to make it through the holiday season unscathed, more accurately, numb to the festive season altogether.

I’ve experienced every ugly emotion and started spiraling out of control on a road I knew all too well, It took me bottoming out to experience the mercy and grace of the Lord, to feel the calming touch of His hand . “I can’t do this anymore!” I don’t want to be that person anymore.

EZEKIEL 36:26 26 I Will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart if stone and give you a heart of flesh.27 I will place My spirit within you and cause you to follow my statutes and carefully observe my ordinances

Well, the Lord had plans for my restoration, and wasted no time getting started. His plan for me required my full surrender and undivided attention, and He immediately set things in motion. My house was in need of cleaning, this baggage I’ve been holding on to had to go.

He changed my apathetic heart to one of benevolence, rather than looking inward to my own (Psalm 51:10) God create a clean heart for me and renew a steadfast spirit within me. I began looking for opportunities to come alongside of others in need. I submit that I still have my moments, though it isn’t quite the struggle. I do know that as long as my Lord is out in front, I’m much better equipped to stand against any feelings of self condemnation. My assignment has been made quite clear in this season, and I’d be honored if you would join me. God Bless
