Being unified in Christ

(Acts1:14) All these were continually united in prayer, along with the women, including Mary the mother of Jesus and His brothers. (4:32) Now the large group of those who believed were of one heart and mind, and no one said that any of his possessions was his own, but instead they held everything in common

The launch of the New Church is at hand, and provisions must be made in order for God’s plan to unfold as intended. The first order of business, is the rebuilding and reenforcing the workforce, The apostles-Those who will physically advance the Gospel (Acts 1).
After much prayer, and discussion, Judas’ place had finally been filled, and Paul must make sure that everyone was on the same page, and moving in the same direction
(Acts 1:13) When they arrived, they went upstairs where they were staying. Just as it was when they were with Jesus, the disciples
stayed together to remain unified in Christ, having been taught the one true Gospel.
Though the immediate circle of influence was Paul, and the twelve apostles, the outer circles included over 150 disciples, and priests, with thousands of followers that would only increase over time. In their time time together, The apostles were made accountable in learning, teaching, and testifying the pure Word of God (A discipline many of us have moved away from). (1Peter 1:20-21) 20 First of all, you should know this: No prophecy of scripture comes from one’s interpretation.20’Because no prophecy ever comes from the will of man; instead, men spoke from God as the were moved by the Holy Spirit.

The fruit they bore:

(Acts 6:5-7) The proposal pleased the whole company. So they chose Stephan, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Phillip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon,Parmenas,Nicholas, a Proselyte from Antioch.6 They had them stand before the apostles, who prayed , and laid hands on them 7 So the preaching about God flourished, and the number of the disciples in Jerusalem multiplied greatly, and a large group of priests became obedient to the faith.
