1Jn 1:6-7 6 If we say, “We have fellowship with Him, yet we walk in darkness, we are lying and not practicing the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as Himself is in the light,we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin

Fellowship is being Equally Yoked in heart and mind (Phil 1:7) For it is only right for me to feel this way about you all, because I have you in my heart, since both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers of grace with me

Cord of three strands are not easily broken. If one fall, another should be there to stand in the gap:

(Ecclesiastes 4: 9-10) 9 Two are better than one because they have good reward for their efforts. 10 For if either falls, his companion can lift him up; but pity the one who falls without another to lift him up

Fellowship is deeper than Friendship (1 Jn 1:3) what we have seen and heard we also declare to you, so that you may have fellowship along with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.

Seek Godly Counsel

Acts 1:16 All these were continually united in prayer, with all the women, including Mary mother of Jesus and His brothers. Filling Judas’ spot in the “Twelve” was a responsibility far greater than themselve. The process went out from the remaining eleven, out into the 120 who had also been baptised. In making decisions, we too should surround ourselves as brothers (and sisters) having the same heart.

Championing Our Faith

Finding victory in the turmoil

(Matthew 8:24) Suddenly, a violent storm arose on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves. But He was sleeping HCSB

“WHAT HAPPENED?!”

“The healing at Capernaum”
(Matthew 8:14-16) 14 When Jesus went into Peter’s house,He saw his mother-in-law lying on the bed with a fever. 15 So He touched her hand, and the fever left her 16 When evening came, they brought to Him many who were demon possessed. He drove out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick,..

The disciples who were with Jesus witnessed the recent healing had their faiths called to task, but, In their circumstance, all they saw was the storm. Ironically, it is for this reason storms occur in our lives.

Having Big Faith is a process of learning to overcome barriers and mountains. In our moments of helplessness, we almost always default to a spirit of defeat. The problem: We doubt the power of the cross, and sovereignty of God. If we are to grow in our faith, we must embrace, and ascribe to the process:

“Enduring Faith” We were given specific assignments in the kingdom (1 Cor. 12:12) and are to being made equal to the tasks.
(Jeremiah 12:5) The LORD answered, “If you have raced on foot against men and they have worn you out, how will you be able to compete with horses? And if you feel secure only in safe and open country, how will you manage in the thick undergrowth along the Jordan River? NET

“Live a life of obedience” Avoid spiritual atrophy through repitition. We must live out our faith so that we may always ready to respond:
(Acts 6:5) And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and the chose Stephen a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, Timon, and Parmenas and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch

Aspire, and Ascribe to be made Christ-like (We must Want to, and be Willing to).
(Hebrews 12:2) looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross despising shame, and hath sat down at the right hand of the throne of God

” Renewing our faith” comes by going to the cross to trade all that we are, to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
(2 Corinthians 1:9-10) 9 Indeed we personally had a death sentence within ourselves so that we would not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead.
10 He has delivered us from such a terrible death, and He will deliver us again

RECLAIMING OUR FAITH

broken

(Matthew 5:6) Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness are blessed, for they are filled

Our faith is in crisis, and we have gone wayward from the truth of the gospel. We are caught up this world where everything is in flux, and have succumb to it’s proclivities. Now, more than ever, We are in need of a total para-digm shift; to submit wholly to the grace of the cross, and ascribe to the One hope of redemption.

“PUSH BACK”

We can all agree on one thing, The turmoil of the world has brought out the worse in humankind, The most prominent being the recent presidential election cycle. This is a faithful saying and worthy of acception, that Christ Jesus came to save sinners of whom I am chief 1Timothy 1:15.

I submit, that I too have fallen victim to the debauchery , Maybe not physically, but spiritually just the same. Church!, Our faith is being tested, And we got caught up in the rhetoric and have taken on the divisiveness. Sadly, We have abandoned our assignments as lights to a broken world, only to become crusaders against all that is good.
We crucify the lost, the un-churched, and have taken aim against our brothers and sisters in Christ. 2 In which at one time you walked [habitually]. You were following the course and fashion of this world [were under the sway of the tendency of the present age], following the prince of power in the air. [You were obedient and under control of] the [demon] spirit that still constantly works in the sons of disobedience [the careless, the rebellious, and unbelieving, who go against the purposes of God] Ephesians 2:2.

“PRESS IN”

All the more, we must cling to this faith we profess, and lean into the spirit of grace, That we may stand firm, and be freed from these cords of bondage:
50 But Jesus said to the woman; do (enter) into peace [in freedom from all distresses that are experienced as a result of sin] Luke 7:50

“Let us pray” Lord, We come before the throne asking to be emptied of our baggage, and to be filled with Your Spirit over-flowing. “Forgive us” for losing our footing in our walk of faith, and allowing our hearts to be distracted by the world. Lord, You are great, and worthy of all our praise, and we ask to be restored back to You . “Lead us” and guide us through our season, and give us strength to follow. Use us to be Your lights to shine on those in the darkness, so they may know You. We pray these things in Your mighty and precious name; Amen.
