The Boldness of the Spiritbelieve in the light

After they had Peter and John stand before them. They asked this question: “By what power or in what name have you done this? Acts 4:7 HCSB

Upon receiving word of the healing of the blind beggar, an order was issued to seize both Peter and John and brought before the Jewish Ruling Counsel. This miraculous healing created a very uncomfortable situation within the Jewish as they feared an uprising was on the horizon. By this time, the word of the Lord had gained such a momentum and spread like wildfire throughout the region. This movement had to be stopped and stopped quickly.

They could be tried in court under Jewish law, but first a case must be built against these men so charges nay be brought against them. So they are questioned but top no avail [14] And since they saw the man who had been healed standing with them, they had nothing to say in response. What would be their next move? Remove the tongue, then body cannot receive instruction [17] However, so this does not spread any further among the people, lets threaten them against speaking to anyone in this name again.
Because of their boldness in spreading God’s word, John and Peter’s infectious spirit moved through the body of believers who were in excess of five thousand who all would testify in the name of the LORD our God, Jesus Christ. Invariably, Jewish leaders had to release them with out cause [21] After threatening them further, they released them. They found no way to punish them, because the people were all giving glory to God over what they had done

We are persecuted for the sake of the Gospel, so that we may stand justified before Him But now apart from the law, God’s righteousness has been revealed-attested by the law of the prophets (Romans 3:21)

“Obedience to His instruction”sheep

Like 6:46 HCSB “Why do you call me, Lord, Lord, and don’t do these things I say?

In my adolescence, I was constantly reminded of the consequences of my disobedience. I thought I was smarter than my parents. As it turns out, after some bruising and a few stitches, I began to realize my foolishness. Funny how our faith is the same, God gave us instruction and we tend to venture off on our own and work things out on our own. This way, we can take the credit. (Judges 7:23) The Lord said to Gideon, “You have too many people for me to hand the Medianites over to you, or else Israel might brag:
Our Father knows best, by living according to His statutes and instruction, we escape the consequences of disobedience.

A disciple is not above his teacher, or a slave above his master Matthew 10:24

3-19-15 Believe in the Light

Back of the Choir

believe in the light

The Son of God rode on a simple ass

Into Jerusalem the perfect Lamb.

He knew His sacrifice would come to pass;

This was no dress rehersal, was no sham.

The crowd did not yet grasp His prophecy

That He would soon be lifted from their midst.

“Walk in the light,” Christ said, “while you still see,

For when this light is gone, it will be missed,

And while you still have light, believe in Me,

That you may be the children of the light.”

O friend! If you believe Him now, He’ll set you free,

His light will be in you, His Spirit bright!

Though you can’t see His body, still believe;

Eternal life in Him you will receive.

While ye have light, believe in the light,

that ye may be the children of light.

John 12:36 KJV

Unfinished business:
Matthew 5:24 HCSB

Leave your gift at the altar. First go and be reconciled with your brother and then come offer your gift

For it is by grace you were saved by through faith (Eph. 6:8,9), “Tetelestai” It is finished! (John 1`9:30) Our sins were covered once for all by the blood of the lamb, and we were washed clean, Amen! By this very act, our standing was made secure in Christ Jesus. So, why do we struggle with accepting and enjoying this precious gift of salvation? Our sins have been pardoned, we are bound by the cords of consequence, this we own. Until we’ve dealt with unresolved conflict, we will stand beneath the cloud of condemnation, and as we spin and toil to get right with God. We’ve all heard our little spirit man within us say, “Be reconciled back to the Lord just as God was in the Lord reconciling the world back to Himself so we could enjoy His imputed righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:19,20).

Restore your salvation back to me, and give me a willing spirit Psalm 5:12Breakthrough2

Encouragement POTTERSHAND

1 Corinthians 1:4-5 HCSB

4 I always thank my God for you because of God’s grace given to you in
Christ Jesus,5 that by Him you are enriched in everything-
in all speech and knowledge

In our fallen world, we must continually encourage one another to hold fast to the gift of grace from the Lord our God, Christ Jesus for in this grace, is God’s wisdom to guide and lead us.

(Romans 8:28)
We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose. In his letter to the church in Corinth, Paul expresses his gratitude to those who have accepted this precious grace and encourages them to remain stead fast in the midst of the debauchery of an immoral society. And so, we encourage and spur one another along to remain faithful that we too will stand firm in our broken society (Proverbs 4:4) he taught me and said: ”Your heart must hold onto my words. Keep my command and live. Blessings

3-10-15 One Spirit One Body

Good Tuesday evening family. Let is bring glory to the Lord and remain of one accord. God Bless

Back of the Choir

When you let Jesus rule your heart and mind,

Accepting Him as Savior, King and Lord,

And so in faith believe His Love defined,

His blood was shed for you, your sins deplored.

The Holy Spirit washes over you,

And who you used to be is dead and gone;

You’re born again, regenerating new,

Now one within His Spirit to live on.

The body’s compromised of many parts,

Each doing what is needed for the whole;

The blood of Jesus beats within our hearts,

Enabling us to seek the unsaved soul.

Oh friend, believe that Jesus died for you

And drink the Spirit’s cup – be born anew!

13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body,

whether we be Jews or Gentiles,

whether we be bond or free;

and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

14 For the body is not one…
