Philippians 4:3 (ESV)

Finally brothers, whatever is true. Whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things

faithrawPhilippians 4:3 (ESV)

While imprisoned in Rome, Paul shares his gladness with his companions who were out taking the “Good News” into the different regions of Philippi. He starts out by encouraging them to find joy in keeping pleasant thoughts of the Lord. We loose sight of all that is good when our spiritual eyes are turned inward and focused on ourselves, our own dilemmas. By the constant renewing of our minds, our spirit man is transformed by the indwelling Holy Spirit , and our demeanor follows 52 And the disciples were filled (A)with joy and (B)with the Holy Spirit. Acts 13:52English Standard Version (ESV)

Paul adds that our joy comes from remaining with brothers (believers) who embrace the same virtues (4:2,3). This way we are less likely to receive wrong counsel (Genesis 3:3,4).

Ephesians 3:14-21
14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom (A) every family [a] in heaven and on earth is named, 16 that according to (B) the riches of his glory (C) he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit (D) in your inner being, 17 (E) so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being (F) rooted and (G) grounded in love, 18 may have strength to (H) comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and (I) height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ (J)that surpasses knowledge, that (K)you may be filled with all (L)the fullness of God.

20 (M)Now to (N)him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, (O)according to the power at work within us, 21 (P)to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
4 (A)Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Philippians 4:4

Be Blessed

An act of love that would forever change our worship to the LORD

John 15:26New King James Version (NKJV)
26 “But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.

Matthew 27:50-53 (NKJV)

50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice (It is Finished), yielded up the ghost. 51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; 52 and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, 53 and came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

And so, we’ve come to the most poignant and most celebrated moment of Christ Jesus’ entire ministry earthly ministry. “It is Finished!” His crucifixion a single act, that would emancipate man from the strongholds of sin, and would no longer fear spiritual death. In this moment, three events took place that would forever change the LORD’s relationship with man (51) The veil of the temple was rent in twain… a great light was shown in the holiest of holies exposing what the sinful of the priest who robbed the temple of all that made it Holy *Eli’s sons!(1 Samuel 2:12). The veil of the temple was in rent also brought down the walls that kept the Gentiles from worshiping as the Jews did (Romans 1:16). Then God condemned the consecrated ground and removed His spirit.
(51b) The ground did quake signifying the earth refusing to accept the blood of the Lamb, it also signified the condemnation of those who crucified God’s only begotten This quake was felt in other countries signifying that the Gentiles could worship as the Jews Gen. 4:11,12Lion_of_Judah_19

Have faith, Do not be anxious
Jeremiah 17:7-8New King James Version (NKJV)

7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope is the Lord.rakthru4
8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not fear[a] when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit.

Devotional 1.9

Titus 2:11-12King James Version (KJV)

11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Before our lives in Christ, we were caught up in every debauchery of our sin nature with all it’s trappings, and we all still wrestle with carnal cravings In one way or another. The LORD knew this would be a challenge for us, and so an atonement had to be made. He sent His only begotten son as the sacrificial lamb to die in our place, for “Our” sins! John 3:16 Through this unselfish act, we have the gift salvation by His blood. This gift is free for the taking, and accessible to all Ephesians 2:9. However, our salvation does not come without accountability. By accepting this gift of salvation, we agreed that Christ would live in us and we in Him. In other words, our houses must be kept clean for our honored guest. Our carnal cravings, excess baggage, and ungodly thoughts have become ways of the past and give way to His Holy Spirit. It’s time for spring cleaning
(Romans 12:1) Therefore brothers by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, Holy and pleasing to God; This is your spiritual worship. Be Blessed
