God is calling. Answer the door!

More than qualified
(Judges 6:15-16) He said to Him, “Please, Lord, how can I deliver Israel? Look, my family is weakest in Manasseh, and I am the youngest in my father’s house.”
16 “But, I will be with you, the Lord said to Him.” You will strike Median down as if it were one man (HCSB)

Has God called you to task, and you made up an excuse why you didn’t think you were ready, or worthy enough? Well, God had a task for Gideon, A very important task-Bring Israel out from the power of the Medianites (Jd 6:14). God knew that Gideon was prepared and more than capable, because He prepared him! Yes, He’s preparing to stretch our faith for our for next assignment.

Everything begins in the going. If we don’t step out in faith, how can we know what we are really capable of? Moses found himself at the same cross roads, but look what happened when he stepped out in faith(. )-And what about David, wasn’t he the youngest, and scrawniest, and most likely not to?

God has an assignment for you that will require every last drop of your faith, the complete abandonment to self-You are more than qualified. God bless

(2 Timothy 4:7) I have fought the good fight, I gave finished the race, I have kept the faith

Romans 8:1-2 Therefore, no condemnation exists for those in Christ Jesus 2 because the Spirit’s law of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death (HCSB)

Consider this,

Does knowing the difference between the two impact our faith, And how do we discern between the two? Here are definitions according to Miriam/Webster:
Conviction: law:the act of proving that a person is guilty (of a crime in a court of law). a strong belief or opinion: the feeling of being sure that what you believe or say is true. In other words, What the Holy Spirit does to us; Jn 16:8 He will convict the world of sin.
Condemnation: a statement or expression of very strong and definite criticism or diapproval. Essentially, What we do to ourselves-Paul confronted the Jewish leaders on their law of circumcision, and worthiness; Rm 3:8 Their condemnation is deserved!
While the two point to the knowledge of Him, the difference is in HOW WE PROCESS AND WHAT WE DO with it. The entire OT gives us many examples, and really sums them up in two words, Obedience and Obstinance, an we have free will to choose between the two. So, when you find yourself at the crossroads, bring your petition before the throne. If it feels wrong, it probably is. Aloha and God bless

HELP  Psalm 46_1

On creation

As I started in on this reading, I really had no clue as to what the Lord was trying to say to me. As I kept re-reading this short passage, I began thinking about how much credence we give the account of creation, and how much weight it carries when it comes to our faith. It is said that, If we don’t believe Genesis 1:1, we would never believe what follows, everything would be an opacity(Jn 20:31).As we look at these three truths,it is my hope to accomplish two things; To provoke thought, and bring the reader to an Aha! moment, Also to glean of off the insights of those led to provide commentary.

God almighty is outside all time and space;
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created..He formed, molded, fashioned, and shaped, He knew exactly what He wanted and was doing. Counter-intuitive to the Big Bang Theory of evolution, it was God formed from the vast nothingness that He was already in.

Everything is by design;

1:25 God made all sorts of wild animals, and small animals, each able to produce off spring of the same kind. And God saw that it was good. Every creature was made to reproduce itself, Conversely, a cow couldn’t give birth to a horse anymore than primates produce man.
Everything leads to God

26 Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. This verse confirms two things: Man would conform to the same rules of creation, and the Devine Triune (Father, Son, Holy spirit, and the angels) determined that in order for man to be made in the image of God, he would be a spiritual creature, and have a soul.

(Zechariah 1:5-6)5 Your fathers, where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever? 6 But my words and my statutes which I commanded my servants the prophets did they not overtake your fathers? So they repented and said, ‘As the Lord of hosts purposed to deal with us for our ways and deeds, so he has dealt with us (English Standard Version) ESV

Have you ever been given instruction on how to complete a certain task, and out of arrogance, do the complete opposite? Sure you have-We all did! (I’ll tell you how Not to fry rice some other time)..

Consider this;

Isaiah 55:8-9) My thoughts are not your thoughts..The Bible clearly lays out what happens when we default to our own understanding- Adam’s eyes were opened only to discover his nakedness, Moses went on a forty year journey that should’ve only taken a few(months), I ended up with a face full of snow when I struck the pressurized can to remove the ball bearing, and King Darius thought it better to rule as his ancestors did, following their instruction.

Our proclivity to arrogantly “Go at it alone” only causes us to drift away from the sovereignty of God, right into the vat of spoiled fruit. When we seek the Lord in earnest, we must submit to His authority, that we may come onto communion with His heart, and move as He ever so gently prompts. My prayer for myself this year, is to die daily to myself that I might be more attentive to His instruction and sensitive to His nudging. Aloha and God bless

As I sit in contemplation on the things that must come about this year, One thing is for certain, In order to accomplish anything, there must be accountability. I submit that I missed my mark because there was no value placed on any particular event. Consequently, here I am wallowing in should’ve, could’ve, and would’ve, Hm.. I do know that whatever plans I make must be submitted to God for His approval, After all, He is the ultimate accountability partner, Amen?!

Where to start, where to start?

First, I must take myself out of the equation and allow God to do His work; PHILIPPIANS 1:6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ Wow, not just for a year, but, Until the day of Jesus Christ! I’ve been feeling God nudging me to move in another direction for a while now. You know that feeling when your season is over, and you can no longer bear fruit. Well, the Lord is faithful in laying out a plan for us and He is convicting me to move toward my next assignment. I don’t know what it is, but I’m sure it will be epic;
DEUTERONOMY 33:23 And to Nephtali he said, O Nephtali, satisfied with favour, and full blessing of the Lord: possess the west and the south

To realize these goals, I must have a tenacious spirit because these goals are bigger than myself. As the Gospel was being moved throughout Macedonia and Asia minor, no one had a clue how much of an impact their obedience would have; (1Thessalonians1: 7-8) 7 so that ye were ensamples to all who believe in Macedonia and Achaia 8 For from you sounded out the word of the Lord, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad;…

I pray to remain sure footed and not be easily be distracted by circumstance. To run toward the goal of our faith as if my life depended on it, because, it does!
(1 Corinthians 9:24) Do you not know that in a race all runners run, but only one gets the prize? run in such a way to get the prize
